Disraeli Stewart

Disraeli, age 13, passed away on February 20, 2023. 

'Diz' as most people knew him was adopted from Free Spirit Siberian Rescue, Harvard, IL at approximately the age of 8 months. He was selected not by me but by my late dog Winston. To say those early days were crazy would be an understatement, but training and daycare harnessed the energy of this half German Shepherd half Siberian Husky and transformed him into a brilliant, stoic, independent, and very gentle soul.

Many people loved Diz. Neighbours, daycare patrons, and staff at Hillcrest Veterinary who said he was always the best patient throughout the years.

Diz was one month shy of his 14th Birthday when he crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. During the time that he was alive he attended his beloved daycare at Meyers in Belvidere the entire time; first 3 days a week and then 3 half days a week in his senior years. He attended right up until the end. He loved all his den mothers and other play mates (some who passed on before him.) They were his second family and an integral part of developing his personality.

Diz was such a beautiful gentle soul and is truly missed by many. RIP sweet boy.
